Forsway today announced Phase II of its co-funded ARTES Core Competitiveness development project Satellite Assisted 5G for vehicles with European Space Agency to develop a complete hybrid satellite hub for connected vehicles. Using the benchmark “network-of-networks”, Cloud-Native approach, a main aspect of the project is the integration of Forsway Xtend Hub with the 5G/NFV architecture (Network Function Virtualization).
Forsway, and KenCast today announced the two technology companies are partnering to deliver KenCast’s Fazzt multicast content delivery system on Forsway’s Odin F-50 satellite modem and cost-effective Forsway Xtend satellite platform.
Forsway announced it is growing its global business development team and has engaged Tobias Lofstrand as Regional Manager North America with focus on a unique target market in the US. Traditionally targeting developing countries, Forsway is expanding its focus to include growth opportunities in advanced markets by helping vast rural areas still lacking reliable internet access get connected.
The new Forsway-branded EMS product is a high-performance DVB-S2 Modulator and IP Encapsulator featuring ACM (adaptive coding and modulation) and MPE (Multiprotocol Encapsulation) support, fully integrated with the Forsway Xtend complete satellite extension ecosystem.
