2025 has been an exciting year for Forsway, marked by key milestones, new colleagues and Board members, strategic partnerships, consortiums, and expansion into new markets. We sincerely thank our customers and partners for helping make it a great year.

Below is a brief recap of  highlights from 2025.

ESA Xtend 5G Satellite Connectivity Project
Forsway reached a key milestone by completing the Preliminary Design Review in its ESA ARTES 4.0 Space for 5G/6G project. This marks a major step toward expanding satellite-based broadband connectivity to remote and underserved areas. Link to details.

Satellite Assisted 5G for Vehicles
Forsway successfully finalized this ESA Connectivity and Secure Communications ARTES-supported project. Several products were released during the program, including the F-60 router and advanced SD-WAN functionality. A pilot test was also conducted in collaboration with AIRMONT.

Sustainable Mobile, Autonomous, and Resilient 6G SatCom Project
Forsway joined a major Swedish-led 6G initiative alongside Ericsson, Saab, Ovzon, Beyond Gravity, Satcube, SSC – Swedish Space Corporation, Northern Waves AB, PrimeKey (part of Keyfactor), and AirForestry. Led by KTH Royal Institute of Technology, the collaboration aims to integrate mobile and satellite communications within future 6G networks. Details in Satellite Today.

VoD-over-Satellite Service Launched
Castanet 5G and Forsway, together with Mainstream Data, Apogee Networks, and VodoMedia, launched a hybrid Video-on-Demand-over-Satellite solution combining 5G Broadcast delivery with edge caching. The solution enables a highly efficient B2B2C wholesale satellite service for ISPs, OTT platforms, and legacy DTH providers.

Live Service in Africa
Forsway now delivers live services in Africa in partnership with Space Engineering Ltd. The solution provides multicast content distribution and internet access to remote and underserved regions, benefiting schools, hospitals, hotels, and remote offices.

Forsway Expands into Brazil

As part of our international growth strategy, Forsway entered the Brazilian market with support from the EU’s Central Baltic Programme – Bridging4Growth initiative.
