Stefan Gustafsson

Stefan is a seasoned strategic advisor and board professional with a distinguished career spanning military and business leadership. He brings a wealth of experience and a broad international network, built through executive and board roles across both public and private sectors—including key positions in Sweden’s space and defense organizations.

Following an extensive career, Stefan retired in 2024 as Chief Strategist at the Swedish Space Corporation (SSC), where he spent over a decade leading, developing, and delivering advanced space services to the global market.

He currently holds several prominent board and advisory positions, including:

• Chair of ECAPS, a manufacturer of non-toxic space propulsion systems and propellants
• Chair, Advisory Board, Ovzon AB
• Chair, Board of Directors, Frost Unmanned AB
• Member of Board of Director´s, Frontgrade Gaisler AB
• Member of Advisory Board, Finserve Global Security Fund
• Senior Advisor, Defense & Space at Rote Consulting

Stefan’s background also includes senior military leadership, notably as Head of Strategy and Long-Term Planning for the Swedish Armed Forces and former Head of  Operations for  the Swedish Navy. He is an Alumni from the U.S. Naval Command College in Rhode Island, USA.
