Dec 2016: Forsway participated during the last quarter in the events IBC (Amsterdam, September) and AfricaCom (Cape Town, November). In addition to the usual networking in the global satellite industry, Forsway were particularly happy to forge relations with new players on the satellite scene.

“These new relations have already enabled us to offer augmented solutions, now also involving new and extremely cost effective satellite capacity that is improving the profitability for our clients, particularly in Africa”, said Mr Tobias Forsell, Forsway’s MD.

For 2017, Forsway are already preparing for Cabsat, Dubai 21-23 March and Satellite 2017, Washington 6-9 March. At Cabsat, Forsway will, as for the last three years, present our solutions in our own booth.

Forsway, the World Bank and Facebook on “Emerging Markets Could be Key to Future Satellite Profitability”

March 2016: “Satellite 2016”, the world’s No 1 satellite event, was recently held in Washington. Forsway’s Chairman Mats Andersson debated, together with the World Bank, Facebook and Inmarsat about the digital divide and was later quoted in the magazine "Via Satellite" as follows:

"Regarding 5G...the cost to go from 1Gbps to 10 Gbps is enormous. I believe that there is more potential to make money going from 10 Kbps to 1 Mbps. The developing countries could be the new revenue source and these countries now focusing on 5G might be in for a surprise."
